BIDDING PROCEDURES
Bids may be submitted online beginning August 1st, 2025
All absentee bids must be received by 12 noon on Thursday, November 20th.
-Bidders will be assigned a number to remain anonymous.
-All lots will be sold to the highest bidder. The bidder is responsible for any errors in bidding.
-An DSC volunteer serves as agent bidder for all absentee bids. Absentee bids are not revealed to anyone, except in the bidding process. The volunteer does not know who the absentee bidder is, only the assigned bidder’s number.
-In the event of a tie between the high floor bidder and an absentee bidder, one advance over the highest floor bid will be taken, with preference to floor bidders.
– If an absentee bid is the only bid received for a lot and it is more than the starting bid, the lot shall be sold to the absentee bidder at the starting bid.
-Unspecified amount “buy bids” will not be accepted.
-Lots failing to receive a bid will be withdrawn for future disposal/auction.

If you are unable to attend the live auction, there are four ways to submit bids.
- Drop off a completed bid sheet at the Rocky Mountain Philatelic Library.
- Bid by email at RMPLAuctionManager@gmail.com
- Bid online using the Online Bid Sheet to place your bids.
- Bid by mail. Send bid sheet to: Denver Stamp Club Auction, c/o Rocky Mountain Philatelic Library, 2038 S. Pontiac Way, Denver, CO 80224. Please put “Attention DSC Auction Manager” on the front of the envelope.
Payment
- Payment may be made by cash, check, Visa, or Master Card.
- ALL bidders, whether successful or not, will be notified (by phone or email) by 4:00 p.m. Wednesday following the conclusion of the auction.
- Payment is expected when the lot(s) are picked up, or within 2 weeks of notification for absentee bidders.
- Colorado residents will be charged 4.25% sales tax.
- Shipping will be via the U.S.P.S. at a cost to be determined.
- FREE DOMESTIC SHIPPING ON ORDERS TOTALING $175.00 AND ABOVE.
- If a winning absentee bidder wishes to have a purchase insured, we must be notified of this. The bidder will incur the cost.
